Scuba Diving is one of the most popular past times at GTMO. Certification classes are conducted routinely at cost. Upon certification patrons must carry their dive card to the port services office and fill out registration paperwork. Before diving, a dive plan must always be filed with port control at extension 4188. They will ask for your name, certification number, depth of the water, destination, and duration of the dive.

Under the Professional Association of Diving Instructors (PADI), you may become a certified scuba diver in GTMO. Enjoy the beautiful undersea scenery as well as the extraordinary animals you may come across. Open Water Scuba Diving allows you to go down as far as 60 feet below sea level. GTMO also offers Advanced Open Water Diving, which allows you to dive as far as 100 feet. It is an extraordinary experience and very reasonably priced. Upon arrival, check in with MWR Fitness Center Staff or Ocean Enterprises to get started.
