Captain Byrne serves as the Deputy Commander of Joint Base Charleston and the Commanding Officer of Naval Support Activity (NSA) Charleston, whose primary duties are to provide unsurpassed installation support to over 60 DoD and Federal agencies. NSA Charleston services a total population of over 86,500 Airmen, Sailors, Soldiers, Marines, Coast Guardsmen, civilians, dependents and retirees on Joint Base Charleston.

Commander Edenbeck enlisted in the Navy in 1986 and is a native of New Bern, North Carolina. Early sea tours were on USS THOMAS S. GATES (CG 51) and aboard USS NEWPORT (LST 1179).

Master Chief Lonsdale, a native of San Diego, CA, joined the Navy on October 2, 1996 and attended boot camp at Recruit Training Command, Great Lakes. He graduated from Electronics Technician “A” School, Great Lakes, in February of 1998 and served as an Electronics Technician from 1998-2012. He was selected for the Command Master Chief Program in February of 2012.
