The Family Advocacy Program at the Fleet and Family Support Center exists to prevent child abuse and domestic violence in an effort to promote a healthy family lifestyle.
How does the Family Advocacy Program work?
Once a report of suspected family abuse is received, the information is assigned to a licensed clinician. This will be your case manager and s/he will assess the allegations of abuse via interviews with each partner, and will review any reports from other agencies involved in the case. The assessment is presented to a Case Review Committee (CRC) that votes whether family abuse has occurred and, if so, the type of treatment that is most appropriate.
