Are You Prepared?
Disasters affect hundreds of thousands of people every year. It may happen at your local Navy installation!  It may happen to you!

Are you and your family ready for an emergency?

Whether you're part of the general Navy community, the Navy's emergency management team, or a potential partner in disaster response and recovery, you have a role in planning for emergencies---preparedness is your duty.

There are many different resources out there to assist you with preparing you and your family. Remember Famiy Preparedness Is Your responsibility!!

One of the fist things that you can do is visit the Navy's preparedness initiative on preparedness- Operation Prepare. Here you can find general and navy specific information and tools to help you and your family prepare for emergency situations that could arise any time without warning.

Another resource you have is The Fleet & Family Support Center (FFSC).

The Fleet and Family Support Center can provide you with local and state preparedness informaton. The FFSC utilizes Operation Prepare in educating our Navy family's on emergency preparedness.

Your Command is another great resource. Be sure you have all mustering information relevant to your specific command.


There are many great local, state, and federal resources as well.  Most of these organization utilize social networking sites such as Facebook and Twitter.
