Effective 1 January 2010, the "Move-Over" law became operative. The new law states that if any emergency vehicle is on the side of the road, if you are able, move into the far lane to eliminate the First Responder from being struck.
The cost of the ticket is $754, with 3 points on your license, and a mandatory court appearance.

This site provides information and registration options for the traffic safety courses:
AAA/DIP - This 1-day AAA Driver Improvement Program is required for all military and civilian personnel (DOD & contractors) who are 26 years of age and under. This course is also required for all military and civilian personnel (DOD & contractors) who drive any government vehicle.
BRC - This 2-day Basic Rider Course is required for all military and civilian DOD personnel. This course is also required for all military and civilian personnel (DOD, contractors & dependents) who need a base sticker. This course should be taken on the rider's own motorcycle. We do have one loaner bike If you do not have one.
ERC - This 1- day Experienced Rider Course is available for all military and civilian personnel (DOD, contractors & dependents) who need a base sticker. This course may be taken in lieu of the BRC. This course must be taken on the rider's own motorcycle and the rider must already have a motorcycle endorsement on their driver's license.
OFF-ROAD - Both the 1-day All Terrain Vehicle and the 1-day Dirt Bike School courses are required for all military and civilian DOD personnel who use ATVs or dirt bikes as part of their official duties, or any personnel whether in a duty status or not, if the ATV or dirt bike is ridden on government property. These courses are also open to dependent 6 years of age and older. This course must be taken on the rider's own ATV and dirt bike.
The MSF Military Sport Bike Course is a one day safety training program designed to be a low-risk, effective, and enjoyable training event for participants who possess basic motorcycling skills and who are licensed or endorsed. It consist of 3 hour classroom activities and 5 hour on-cycle exercises.
PLEASE NOTE: PRE-REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED FOR ALL CLASSES. WALK-IN STUDENTS WILL NOT BE GUARANTEED A SEAT.
