Captain Brady Drennan, a native of Houston, Texas, graduated from Basic Training at Great Lakes, IL, in February 1985. After completing 12 years enlisted service, he received his commission through the Limited Duty Officer Program (Nuclear) in October, 1997.
His sea duty assignments have included two Los Angeles Class Fast Attack Submarines and five Nimitz Class Aircraft Carriers, including his most recent tour as Chief Engineer in USS HARRY S. TRUMAN (CVN 75).
Shore assignments have included Naval Nuclear Training Units in both Idaho Falls and Ballston Spa, Production Management Assistant at Mid-Atlantic Regional Maintenance Center, and as the Deputy for Maintenance Requirements and Readiness (N4A), at Commander, Submarine Force Atlantic. He currently serves as Executive Officer, Naval Base Point Loma.
Captain Drennan completed his Bachelor of Science degree in Human Resource Management in 1995, and Master of Arts in Organizational Leadership in 2018.
Personal awards include three Meritorious Service medals, the Joint Service Commendation medal, five Navy Commendation medals and 4 Navy Achievement medals. He is a recipient of the Commander, U.S. Naval Air Forces Leadership Award,
Naval Air Forces Pacific Junior Shiphandler of the Year, and USS DWIGHT D. EISENHOWER's Five Star Award for Leadership.
