Polaris Point

Description

Polaris Point lies on the eastern side of Apra Harbor and is accessible from Marine Corps Drive, approximately two miles north of the Main Base front Gate.  The two wharves at Polaris Point were built to support submarines and the submarine tender that is homeported in Guam.  Polaris Point is also home to some recreational facilities, including a swimming beach with cabanas and restrooms, the Polaris Point Club, and a primitive camping area.  Outdoor concerts, Fourth of July celebrations and other large MWR events are often held at Polaris Point.
