Welcome to Naval Base Guam, Navy Housing. Our mission is to provide housing support for all of the Warfighters assigned to Naval Base Guam and their accompanying family members. Our goal is to assign our customers suitable and comfortable housing. We have a wide range of housing options on base in several locations and we can assist customers in locating housing off-base.

Family Housing (FH) on-base consists of the neighborhoods below.
All of the living quarters are constructed of concrete to withstand the toughest environmental conditions. All government housing units have standard 110-volt, 60-hertz current and come equipped with central air conditioning, refrigerator, stove, dishwasher, washer and dryer. The majority of new families move into government housing within 60 days of arrival on Guam.

You may apply for Family Housing prior to arrival, however, you will not be placed on a wait list until after reporting.

Note: Waiting times commence upon arrival in Guam and are based on current availability of government housing located island wide (within 1 hr. commute). Waiting times for a preferred location are normally longer.
Getting Started With TLA

Step 1: Contact the Naval Base Guam HSC prior to your arrival at 671-333-2081/2082, or email the housing manager Fannie.Meno.firstname.lastname@example.org
Step 2: Members must contact Navy Gateway Inns and Suites (NGIS) at (671)339-5259/5139. Obtain a "NON-AVAILABILITY" letter with a control number before making reservations with a TLA approved hotel.
Step 3: Upon arrival, members must report to their command and then report to PSD / dispersing for a TLA brief before they can receive TLA. TLA is not authorized while "in transit", so orders must be stamped. Within 48 hours of arrival members are required to report to the Family Housing Office in order to be eligible for TLA. New arrivals on TLA will be offered the first adequate permanent house in accordance with the JFTR governing temporary lodging.
TIPS: Both government and private homes have limited storage. Government homes have central air and include a stove, refrigerator, washer, dryer, and dishwasher. Permanent loaner appliances (except dishwashers) are available in private rentals. Loaner furniture is available for 90 days after arrival and before departure. Two domestic pets are authorized per household.

Note: When you apply for FH, we will collect these documents. Other supporting documents may be required on a case-by-case basis.
The following are documents required for you to apply for housing. In addition to those listed above, we will need:
- Travel Orders
- Letter of equivalence as GS-XX (If applicable)
- Valid power of attorney for your spouse in Member's absence
- Court ordered custody agreement for your step children (If applicable)
