The Child Development Center (CDC), located in Building 1983-A, provides centered-based care for children 6 weeks to 5 years of age. The CDC is open to active duty military and DoD/NAF civilian personnel families, and is committed to providing the best developmental experiences for all children. The curriculum is designed to meet the cognitive, social, emotional, and physical needs of children by using developmentally age-appropriate activities. The Child Development Center building also encompasses the School Age Care program, where elementary-age children engage in activities which focus on the Boys & Girls Club Core Programs: Character & Leadership; Education and Career; Health & Life Skills; The Arts; Sports, Fitness, & Recreation.
All Child & Youth Program (CYP) personnel undergo extensive program training and background checks, are certified in American Red Cross First Aid and child/infant CPR, and maintain current health certificates. CYP Centers are fully accredited and frequently inspected by NAEYC, COA, and CNIC officials to ensure that each center meets the highest standard of care. In addition, all meals and snacks served in the centers comply with the USDA nutritional requirements.
