ASAN, Guam (March 25, 2020) – The U.S. Navy will conduct training at Warning Area 13 March 30 to April 2 from 12:05 a.m. to 11:55 p.m.
The island of Farallon de Medinilla lies within Warning Area 13. Therefore, mariners are advised to remain clear 12 nautical miles from Farallon de Medinilla for the duration of the exercise, and to monitor the U.S. Coast Guard broadcast Notice to Mariners for advisories.
Helicopter Sea Combat Squadron (HSC) 25 will hold open ocean training March 30 from 4 – 9:30 p.m. at the following coordinates: 13˚26''N/145˚08''E, 13˚42''N/144˚36''E.
Mariners are requested to remain clear 5 nautical miles from the area during the stated date and time, and to monitor the U.S. Coast Guard broadcast Notice to Mariners for advisories.
The Navy will conduct training in the following locations at the following dates and times:
· Agat Bay and outer Apra Harbor – March 30 to April 2 from 4 – 9:30 p.m.
· Warning Area 517 – April 1 from 4 – 9:30 p.m.
· Outer Apra Harbor – April 2 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The general public, fishermen and marine tour operators are requested to remain clear of the areas during the stated dates and times, and to monitor the U.S. Coast Guard broadcast Notice to Mariners for advisories.
These trainings support readiness and are critical to developing the skills needed to respond to operational missions throughout the region to ensure a stable, free, and open Indo-Pacific.
