Navy to Conduct Training in Warning Area 12, Warning Area 13, Warning Area 517, Farallon de Medinilla, Open Ocean, Agat Bay, Outer Apra Harbor, Dandan-Malojloj, Radio Barrigada

ASAN, Guam (June 5, 2020) – The U.S. Navy will conduct training in Warning Area 12 and Warning Area 517 June 8-10 from 1 a.m. to 11 p.m.

Marine vessels are requested to remain clear of the area for the duration of the event and to monitor the U.S. Coast Guard broadcast Notice to Mariners for advisories.

The U.S. Navy will conduct live fire exercises in Warning Area 13 and Farallon de Medinilla June 8-14 from 10 a.m. to 2 a.m.

Marine vessels are advised to remain clear 12 nautical miles around Farallon de Medinilla for the duration of this event and to monitor the U.S. Coast Guard broadcast Notice to Mariners for advisories.

The U.S. Navy will conduct live fire exercises in open ocean June 9-13 from 1-11:55 p.m. at the following coordinates: 13˚26''N/145˚08''E, 13˚42''N/144˚36''E.

Marine vessels are advised to remain clear of the area for the duration of the event and to monitor the U.S. Coast Guard broadcast Notice to Mariners for advisories.

The U.S. Navy will conduct training in the vicinity of Agat Bay and Outer Apra Harbor June 9-13 from 1-11:55 p.m.

The general public is advised to be aware of the training and requested to remain clear of units in the area for the duration of this event.

The U.S. Navy will also conduct training in Dandan-Malojloj and Radio Barrigada June 9-13 from 1-11:55 p.m.

Residents in surrounding areas should not be alarmed if they see or hear increased activity due to the training.

The U.S. Navy will conduct live fire exercises in open ocean June 10 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the following coordinates: 12˚53''N/144˚42''E.

Marine vessels are advised to remain clear of the area for the duration of the event and to monitor the U.S. Coast Guard broadcast Notice to Mariners for advisories.

These trainings support readiness and are critical to developing the skills needed to respond to operational missions throughout the region to ensure a stable, free, and open Indo-Pacific.
