Military to Conduct Training at Naval Magazine, Warning Area 12, Warning Area 13, Warning Area 517, Farallon de Medinilla, Dandan-Malojloj, Radio Barrigada, Agat Bay, Outer Apra Harbor, Open Ocean, Northwest Field

ASAN, Guam (June 19, 2020) – The U.S. Navy will conduct training at the Naval Magazine on the following dates and times:

-          June 22-23 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

-          June 24 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

-          June 25 from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Residents in surrounding areas should not be alarmed if they see or hear increased activity due to the event.

The U.S. Navy will conduct live fire exercises in Warning Area 13 and Farallon de Medinilla June 22-25 from 10 a.m. to 2 a.m. daily.

Marine vessels are advised to remain clear of Farallon de Medinilla by 12 nautical miles for the duration of the event and to monitor the U.S. Coast Guard broadcast Notice to Mariners for advisories.

The U.S. Navy will conduct training in Dandan-Malojloj and Radio Barrigada June 22, 24, and 26 from 1-11:55 p.m.

Blank ammunition will be utilized for this training. Residents in surrounding areas should not be alarmed if they see or hear increased activity.

The U.S. Navy will also conduct training in the vicinity of Agat Bay and Outer Apra Harbor June 22, 24, and 26 from 1-11:55 p.m.

The general public is advised to be aware of the training and requested to remain clear of units in the area for the duration of this event.

The U.S. Navy will conduct live fire exercises in open ocean June 22, 24, and 26 from 1-11:55 p.m. at the following coordinates: 13˚26''N/145˚08''E, 13˚42''N/144˚36''E.

Marine vessels are advised to remain clear of the area for the duration of the event and to monitor the U.S. Coast Guard broadcast Notice to Mariners for advisories.

The U.S. Navy will conduct exercises in open ocean June 24 from 10 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. at the following coordinates: 13˚29''N/144˚25''E, 13˚75''N/144˚333''E, 13˚26''N/144˚40''E.

Marine vessels are advised to be aware of the training, remain clear of units in the area for the duration of the event, and to monitor the U.S. Coast Guard broadcast Notice to Mariners for advisories.

The U.S. Air Force will conduct training in Northwest Field June 25 from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Residents in surrounding areas should not be alarmed if they see or hear increased activity due to the training.

The U.S. Navy will conduct live fire exercises in open ocean June 25 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the following coordinates: 13˚44"N/144˚24"E.

Marine vessels are advised to remain clear three nautical miles of the area for the duration of the event and to monitor the U.S. Coast Guard broadcast Notice to Mariners for advisories.

The U.S. Navy will conduct live fire exercises in Warning Area 12 and Warning Area 517 June 28 from 11 a.m. to 1 a.m.

Marine vessels are advised to remain clear of the area for the duration of the event and to monitor the U.S. Coast Guard broadcast Notice to Mariners for advisories.

These trainings support readiness and are critical to developing the skills needed to respond to operational missions throughout the region to ensure a stable, free, and open Indo-Pacific.
