Military to Conduct Training in Open Ocean, Agat Bay, Outer Apra Harbor, Dandan-Malojloj, Radio Barrigada

ASAN, Guam (July 2, 2020) – The U.S. Coast Guard will conduct live fire exercises in open ocean July 6 from noon to 3:30 p.m. at the following coordinates: 13˚39’06''N/144˚20’55''E.

Marine vessels are advised to remain clear of the area for the duration of the event and to monitor the U.S. Coast Guard broadcast Notice to Mariners for advisories.

The U.S. Navy will conduct live fire exercises in open ocean July 6-9 from 1-11:55 p.m. at the following coordinates: 13˚26''N/145˚08''E, 13˚42''N/144˚36''E.

Marine vessels are advised to remain clear of the area for the duration of the event and to monitor the U.S. Coast Guard broadcast Notice to Mariners for advisories.

The U.S. Navy will also conduct training in the vicinity of Agat Bay and Outer Apra Harbor July 6-9 from 1-11:55 p.m.

The general public is advised to be aware of the training and requested to remain clear of units in the area for the duration of this event.

The U.S. Navy will conduct training in Dandan-Malojloj and Radio Barrigada July 6-9 from 1-11:55 p.m.

Blank ammunition will be utilized in this training. Residents of surrounding areas should not be alarmed if they see or hear increased activity.

The Guam Army National Guard will conduct training in Radio Barrigada July 11 from 6:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Residents of surrounding areas should not be alarmed if they see or hear increased activity due to training.

These trainings support readiness and are critical to developing the skills needed to respond to operational missions throughout the region to ensure a stable, free, and open Indo-Pacific.
