Military to Conduct Training in Dandan-Malojloj, Radio Barrigada, Agat Bay, Outer Apra Harbor, Open Ocean, Warning Area 13, Farallon de Medinilla

ASAN, Guam (July 17, 2020) – The U.S. Navy will conduct training in Outer Apra Harbor July 20-27 from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The general public is advised to be aware of the training and requested to remain clear of units in the area for the duration of the event.

The U.S. Navy will conduct training in Dandan-Malojloj and Radio Barrigada July 20 and 22 from 1-11:55 p.m.

This training may be accompanied by the use of blank ammunition. Residents of surrounding areas should not be alarmed if they see or hear increased activity.

The U.S. Navy will conduct live fire exercises in open ocean July 20-24 from 1-11:55 p.m. at the following coordinates: 13˚26''N/145˚08''E, 13˚42''N/144˚36''E.

Marine vessels are advised to remain clear of the area for the duration of the event and to monitor the U.S. Coast Guard broadcast Notice to Mariners for advisories.

The U.S. Navy will conduct training in Agat Bay and Outer Apra Harbor July 20-24 from 1-11:55 p.m.

The general public is advised to be aware of the training and requested to remain clear of units in the area for the duration of this event.

The U.S. Air Force will conduct live fire exercises in Warning Area 13 and Farallon de Medinilla on the following dates and times:

 July 21 from 12:30-7:00 p.m.

 July 24 from 1:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

Marine vessels are advised to remain clear 12 nautical miles around Farallon de Medinilla for the duration of the event and to monitor the U.S. Coast Guard broadcast Notice to Mariners for advisories.

The U.S. Navy will conduct training in Dandan-Malojloj and Radio Barrigada July 21 and July 23-24 from 1-11:55 p.m.

Residents of surrounding areas should not be alarmed if they see or hear increased activity due to the training.

The U.S. Navy will conduct live fire exercises in Warning Area 13 and Farallon de Medinilla July 22-23 from noon to 11:55 p.m.

Marine vessels are advised to remain clear 12 nautical miles around Farallon de Medinilla for the duration of the event and to monitor the U.S. Coast Guard broadcast Notice to Mariners for advisories.

The U.S. Navy will conduct training in Outer Apra Harbor July 22 from 3-9 p.m.

The general public is advised to be aware of the training and requested to remain clear of units in the area for the duration of this event.

The U.S. Navy will conduct open-ocean training July 23 from 1-11:55 p.m. at the

following coordinates: 13˚48''N/144˚417''E, 13˚75''N/144˚333''E, 13˚75''N/144˚600''E, 13˚50''N/144˚600''E, 13˚50''N/144˚333''E.

Mariners are requested to remain clear 5 nautical miles from 13˚48''N/144˚417''E, to remain clear of units in the area for the duration of the training, and to monitor the U.S. Coast Guard broadcast Notice to Mariners for advisories.

These trainings support readiness and are critical to developing the skills needed to respond to operational missions throughout the region to ensure a stable, free, and open Indo-Pacific.
