Military to Conduct Training in Radio Barrigada, Agat Bay, Apra Harbor, Reserve Craft Beach, Pago Bay, Open Ocean, Warning Area 517

ASAN, Guam (Nov. 13, 2020) – The U.S. Navy will conduct training in Radio Barrigada on the following dates and times:

·         Nov. 16-17 from noon to 11:55 p.m.

·         Nov. 18-19 from 9 a.m. to 11:55 p.m.

Blank ammunition is authorized for this training. Residents in surrounding areas should not be alarmed if they see or hear increased activity.

The U.S. Navy will also conduct training in Agat Bay and Outer Apra Harbor on the following dates and times:

·         Nov. 16-17 from noon to 11:55 p.m.

·         Nov. 18-19 from 9 a.m. to 11:55 p.m.

Blank ammunition will be used for this training. Mariners and residents in surrounding areas should not be alarmed if they hear or see increased activity.

The U.S. Navy will conduct live fire exercises in open ocean at coordinates: 13˚26''N/145˚08''E, 13˚42''N/144˚36''E on the following dates and times:

·         Nov. 16-17 from noon to 11:55 p.m.

·         Nov. 18-19 from 9 a.m. to 11:55 p.m.

Marine vessels are advised to remain clear of the area for the duration of these events and to monitor the U.S. Coast Guard broadcast Notice to Mariners for advisories.

The U.S. Navy will conduct training in Radio Barrigada Nov. 16 from 7-11:55 p.m. Residents in surrounding areas should not be alarmed if they hear or see increased activity due to the training.

The U.S. Air Force and Navy will conduct live fire exercises in Warning Area 517 Nov. 16-20 from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m.

Marine vessels are advised to remain clear of the area from 2-9 p.m. for the duration of these events and to monitor the U.S. Coast Guard broadcast Notice to Mariners for advisories.

The U.S. Navy will conduct training in Radio Barrigada Nov. 17 from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Residents in surrounding areas should not be alarmed if they hear or see increased activity due to the training.

The U.S. Navy will conduct training in Outer Apra Harbor and Reserve Craft Beach Nov. 17-19 from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Marine vessels and the general public are advised to remain clear of units training in the area.

The U.S. Navy will conduct training in the vicinity of Pago Bay Nov. 17-20 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. The general public and mariners are advised to be aware of military personnel training in the area.

The U.S. Navy will conduct training in Outer Apra Harbor Nov. 19 from 12:05 a.m. to 11:55 p.m.  The general public and marine vessels are advised to remain clear of units training in the area.

These trainings support readiness and are critical to developing the skills needed to respond to operational missions throughout the region to ensure a stable, free, and open Indo-Pacific.
