Navy, Coast Guard to Conduct Training in Open Ocean, Agat Bay, Apra Harbor, Radio Barrigada, Dandan-Malojloj

ASAN, Guam (Dec. 11, 2020) – The U.S. Navy will conduct training in Apra Harbor and open ocean Dec. 14-15 from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the following coordinates: 13˚75"N/144˚33"E, 13˚75"N/144˚60"E, 13˚50"N/144˚60"E, 13˚50"N/144˚33"E, 13˚48"N/144˚41"E.

The general public and marine vessels are advised to remain clear of units in the area for the duration of this event and to monitor the U.S. Coast Guard broadcast Notice to Mariners for advisories.

The U.S. Navy will conduct live fire exercises in open ocean Dec. 14-18 from 11 a.m. to 11:55 p.m. at the following coordinates: 13°26”N/145°08”E, 13°42”N/144°36”E.

Marine vessels are advised to remain clear of the area for the duration of this event and to monitor the U.S. Coast Guard broadcast Notice to Mariners for advisories.

The U.S. Navy will conduct training in Agat Bay and Outer Apra Harbor Dec. 14-18 from 11 a.m. to 11:55 p.m.

Blank ammunition will be used for this training. Mariners and residents in surrounding areas should not be alarmed if they hear or see increased activity.

The U.S. Navy will conduct training in Dandan-Malojloj and Radio Barrigada Dec. 14-18 from 11 a.m. to 11:55 p.m.

The use of blank ammunition is authorized for this training. Residents in surrounding areas should not be alarmed if they hear or see increased activity.

The U.S. Navy will conduct training in Outer Apra Harbor Dec. 15 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Marine vessels are advised to remain clear of units in the area for the duration of this event.

The U.S. Navy will conduct training in Outer Apra Harbor Dec. 15-16 from 6-8 p.m. The general public and mariners are advised to be aware of units training in the area.  

The U.S. Coast Guard will conduct live fire exercises in open ocean Dec. 16 from noon to 4 p.m. at the following coordinates: 13°39”N/144°20”E.

Marine vessels are advised to remain clear of the area for the duration of this event and to monitor the U.S. Coast Guard broadcast Notice to Mariners for advisories.

These trainings support readiness and are critical to developing the skills needed to respond to operational missions throughout the region to ensure a stable, free, and open Indo-Pacific.
