Military to Conduct Training in Radio Barrigada, Dandan-Malojloj, South Finegayan, Agat Bay, Outer Apra Harbor, Open Ocean

ASAN, Guam (May 14, 2021) – The Guam National Guard will continue to conduct scheduled exercises in Radio Barrigada until May 23 from midnight to 11:59 p.m. Residents in surrounding areas should not be alarmed if they hear or see increased activity.

The U.S. Navy will continue to conduct scheduled training in Outer Apra Harbor until May 21 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. The general public is advised to be aware of the training event.

Government contractors will continue to conduct scheduled surveys in Radio Barrigada until July 2 from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Residents in surrounding areas should not be alarmed if they hear or see increased activity.

The U.S. Navy will conduct training in Radio Barrigada until May 21 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Blank ammunition will be utilized for this training. Residents in surrounding areas should not be alarmed if they hear or see increased activity.

The U.S. Navy will conduct live fire exercises in open ocean May 17-20 from 9 a.m. to 11:55 p.m. at the following coordinates: 13˚26''N/145˚08''E, 13˚42''N/144˚36''E. Marine vessels are advised to remain clear of the area for the duration of the event and to monitor the U.S. Coast Guard broadcast Notice to Mariners for advisories.

The U.S. Navy will conduct live fire training in Outer Apra Harbor May 19 and 20 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the following coordinates: 13˚27.7''N/144˚38.5''E. The general public is advised to remain clear of the area for the duration of the events.

These trainings support readiness and are critical to developing the skills needed to respond to operational missions throughout the region to ensure a stable, free, and open Indo-Pacific.
