Military to Conduct Training in Radio Barrigada, Dandan-Malojloj, South Finegayan, Open Ocean, Agat Bay, Outer Apra Harbor, Warning Area 517, Warning Area 11, Warning Area 12, Warning Area 13

ASAN, Guam (May 21, 2021) – Government contractors will continue to conduct scheduled surveys in Radio Barrigada until July 2 from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Residents in surrounding areas should not be alarmed if they hear or see increased activity.

The U.S. Navy will conduct live fire exercises in open ocean May 24-27 from 9 a.m. to 11:55 p.m. at the following coordinates: 13˚26''N/145˚08''E, 13˚42''N/144˚36''E. Marine vessels are advised to remain clear of the area for the duration of the event and to monitor the U.S. Coast Guard broadcast Notice to Mariners for advisories.

The U.S. Navy will conduct training in Dandan-Malojloj, Radio Barrigada, and South Finegayan May 24-27 from 9 a.m. to 11:55 p.m. Residents in surrounding areas should not be alarmed if they hear or see increased activity due to the training event.

The U.S. Navy will conduct training in Radio Barrigada May 24-27 from 9 a.m. to 11:55 p.m. Blank ammunition will be utilized for this training. Residents in surrounding areas should not be alarmed if they hear or see increased activity.

The U.S. Navy will conduct training in Agat Bay and Outer Apra Harbor May 24-27 from 9 a.m. to 11:55 p.m. Blank ammunition will be utilized for this training. Residents in surrounding areas should not be alarmed if they hear or see increased activity.

Military units will conduct training in Warning Area 517, Warning Area 11, and Warning Area 12 May 27-28 from 9-11:30 a.m. Units will also conduct training in Warning Area 13 May 28 from 9-11:30 a.m. Mariners in surrounding areas should not be alarmed if they see or hear increased activity due to the training and are advised to monitor the U.S. Coast Guard broadcast Notice to Mariners for advisories.

These trainings support readiness and are critical to developing the skills needed to respond to operational missions throughout the region to ensure a stable, free, and open Indo-Pacific.
