ASAN, Guam (June 23, 2021) – Exercise Pacific Griffin 2021, an annual bilateral maritime exercise, is hosting military participants from the U.S. Navy and the Republic of Singapore Navy in Guam from June 22–July 7.

This annual exercise, which will be conducted in phases both on-shore and at-sea, is the third iteration of the exercise series between the U.S. and Singapore navies.

All participating personnel arriving in Guam to support Pacific Griffin 2021 continue to carefully comply with all current COVID-19 mitigation measures as established by the Government of Guam, Joint Region Marianas, Naval Base Guam and Andersen Air Force Base. These mitigation measures are necessary to continue to protect Guam’s civilian and military communities.

Consistent with Government of Guam and Department of Defense COVID mitigation policies, U.S. Navy Sailors aboard the USS Benfold (DDG 65) and USS Rafael Peralta (DDG 115), who have been fully-vaccinated, are authorized shore liberty off base.

All Government of Guam Pandemic Condition of Readiness and Executive Order guidelines and military public health orders apply and any service member suspected to be in violation will be investigated and held accountable, if appropriate.
