Military to Conduct Training in Tinian, U.S. Naval Base Guam, Radio Barrigada, Open Ocean, Warning Area 11, Warning Area 12, Warning Area 13, Warning Area 517, Agat Bay, Dandan and Finegayan

ASAN, Guam (June 25, 2021) – The U.S. Navy will conduct exercises utilizing blank ammunition in Tinian North Field June 28-30 from midnight to 11:59 p.m. Residents in the surrounding areas should not be alarmed if they hear or see increased activity.

The U.S. Navy will conduct operations aboard U.S. Naval Base Guam (NBG) June 28 – July 2 from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Residents in the surrounding areas should not be alarmed if they hear or see increased activity.

Government contractors will conduct scheduled surveys in Radio Barrigada June 28 – July 2 from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Residents in the surrounding areas should not be alarmed if they hear or see increased activity.

The military will conduct live fire exercises in the open ocean, Warning Area 11, Warning Area 12, Warning Area 13 and Warn­ing Area 517 on the following dates and times:

  • June 28 – July 9 from midnight to 11:59 p.m.
  • June 28 and June 30 from 8 a.m. to noon
  • June 28 – July 1 from 2-4 p.m. and 7-10 p.m.
  • July 2 from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. and 4-7 p.m.

Marine vessels are advised to remain clear of the areas for the duration of the events and to monitor the U.S. Coast Guard broadcast Notice to Mariners for advisories.

The U.S. Navy will conduct live fire exercises June 28 to July 1 from 9 a.m. to 11:55 p.m. at the following coordinates: 13˚26''N 145˚08''E and 13˚42''N 144˚36''E. Marine vessels are advised to remain clear of the area for the duration of the event and to monitor the U.S. Coast Guard broadcast Notice to Mariners for advisories.

The military will conduct training exercises utilizing blank ammunition in Agat Bay, outer Apra Harbor and Orote Point June 28 to July 1 from 9 a.m. to 11:55 p.m. Residents in the surrounding areas should not be alarmed if they hear or see increased activity. Marine vessels are advised to remain clear of the area for the duration of the event and to monitor the U.S. Coast Guard broadcast Notice to Mariners for advisories.

The U.S. Navy will conduct training exercises utilizing blank ammunition June 28 to July 1 from 9 a.m. to 11:55 p.m. at Radio Barrigada. Residents in the surrounding areas should not be alarmed if they hear or see increased activity.

The military will conduct exercises in Dandan, Malojloj; aboard NBG; Radio Barrigada and Finegayan, Dededo, June 28-July 1 from 9 a.m. to 11:55 p.m. Residents in the surrounding areas should not be alarmed if they hear or see increased activity.

The U.S. Navy will conduct small boat operations at the Tinian San Jose Port in support of construction efforts June 29 from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. Residents in the surrounding areas should not be alarmed if they hear or see increased activity.

The U.S. Navy will conduct explosive detonation training on U.S. Naval Base Guam June 29 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Residents in surrounding areas should not be alarmed if they see or hear increased activity due to the training.

The U.S. Navy will conduct training aboard NBG and in outer Apra Harbor June 29 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Residents in surrounding areas should not be alarmed if they see or hear increased activity due to the training. Marine vessels are advised to remain clear of the area for the duration of the event and to monitor the U.S. Coast Guard broadcast Notice to Mariners for advisories.

The U.S. Navy will conduct training utilizing blank ammunition aboard NBG June 30 from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Residents in surrounding areas should not be alarmed if they see or hear increased activity due to the training.

The U.S. Navy will conduct live fire exercises in open ocean July 1 at the following times and locations:

  • 6 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Warning Area 517
  • 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the following coordinates: 13°40"N 144°40"E, 13°40"N 144°37"E, 13°39"N 144°32"E, 13°37"N 144°30"E, 13°28"N 144°30"E, 13°28"N 144°34"E, 13°30"N 144°36"E, 13°31"N 144°37"E, 13°31"N 144°40"E, 13°40"N 144°40"E

Marine vessels are advised to remain clear of the area for the duration of the event and to monitor the U.S. Coast Guard broadcast Notice to Mariners for advisories.

The U.S. Navy will conduct training in inner Apra Harbor July 2-3 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Residents in the surrounding areas should not be alarmed if they hear or see increased activity.

These trainings support readiness and are critical to developing the skills needed to respond to operational missions throughout the region to ensure a stable, free, and open Indo-Pacific.
