Military to Conduct Training in Warning Area 13, Farallon de Medinilla, Dandan-Malojloj, Radio Barrigada, Open Ocean, Agat Bay, Outer Apra Harbor

ASAN, Guam (July 31, 2020) – The U.S. Air Force will conduct live fire exercises in Warning Area 13 and Farallon de Medinilla Aug. 2-3 from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.

Marine vessels are advised to remain clear of Farallon de Medinilla by 12 nautical miles for the duration of the event and to monitor the U.S. Coast Guard broadcast Notice to Mariners for advisories.

The U.S. Army will conduct training in Radio Barrigada Aug. 3 from 5 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Blank ammunition may be used for this training. Residents in surrounding areas should not be alarmed if they hear or see increased activity.

The U.S. Navy will conduct live fire exercises in open ocean Aug. 3 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the following coordinates: 13˚41''N/144˚41''W, 13˚18''N/144˚41''W, 13˚19''N/144˚58''W, 13˚29''N/144˚58''W, 13˚40''N/144˚57''W, 13˚41''N/144˚41''W.

Marine vessels are advised to remain clear of the area for the duration of the event and to monitor the U.S. Coast Guard broadcast Notice to Mariners for advisories.

The U.S. Navy will conduct training in the vicinity of Agat Bay and Outer Apra Harbor Aug. 3-5 from 1-11:55 p.m.

The general public is advised to be aware of the training and requested to remain clear of units in the area for the duration of this event.

The U.S. Navy will also conduct live fire exercises in open ocean Aug. 3-5 from 1-11:55 p.m. at the following coordinates: 13˚26''N/145˚08''E, 13˚42''N/144˚36''E.

Marine vessels are advised to remain clear of the area for the duration of the event and to monitor the U.S. Coast Guard broadcast Notice to Mariners for advisories.

The U.S. Navy will conduct training in Dandan-Malojloj and Radio Barrigada Aug. 3-5 from 1-11:55 p.m.

Residents in surrounding areas should not be alarmed if they hear or see increased activity due to the training.

The U.S. Navy will conduct training in Outer Apra Harbor and open ocean Aug. 3-6 from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The general public is advised to be aware of the training and remain clear of units in the area for the duration of the event.

These trainings support readiness and are critical to developing the skills needed to respond to operational missions throughout the region to ensure a stable, free, and open Indo-Pacific.
