Military to Conduct Training in Warning Area 517, Warning Area 13, Farallon de Medinilla, Open Ocean, Agat Bay, Outer Apra Harbor, Dandan-Malojloj, Radio Barrigada, Naval Magazine

ASAN, Guam (Aug. 14, 2020) – The U.S. Air Force will conduct live fire exercises in Warning Area 13 and Farallon de Medinilla Aug. 17-21 from 8 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.

Marine vessels are advised to remain clear 12 nautical miles around Farallon de Medinilla for the duration of the event and to monitor the U.S. Coast Guard broadcast Notice to Mariners for advisories.

The U.S. Navy will conduct live fire exercises in open ocean Aug. 17-20 from 1-11:55 p.m. at the following coordinates: 13˚26''N/145˚08''E, 13˚42''N/144˚36''E.

Marine vessels are advised to remain clear of the area for the duration of the event and to monitor the U.S. Coast Guard broadcast Notice to Mariners for advisories.

The U.S. Navy will conduct training in the vicinity of Agat Bay and Outer Apra Harbor on the following dates and times:

 Aug. 17 & 20 from 1-11:55 p.m.

 Aug. 18-19 from 1 p.m. to 12:30 a.m.

Simulated ammunition will be used in this training. The general public should not be alarmed if they see or hear increased activity and are requested to remain clear of units in the area for the duration of this event.

The U.S. Navy will conduct training in Dandan-Malojloj and Radio Barrigada Aug. 17 from 1-11:55 p.m.

Residents of surrounding areas should not be alarmed if they see or hear increased activity due to the training.

The U.S. Navy will conduct training in Dandan-Malojloj and Radio Barrigada Aug. 18 from 1-11:55 p.m.

Simulated ammunition will be used in this training. Residents in surrounding areas should not be alarmed if they see or hear increased activity.

The U.S. Navy will conduct live fire training at Naval Magazine Aug. 18 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Residents in surrounding areas should not be alarmed if they see or hear increased activity due to the training.

The U.S. Army will conduct training in Radio Barrigada on the following dates and times:

 Aug. 19-20 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

 Aug. 21-23 from 8-10 a.m.

Blank ammunition will be used in this training. Residents in surrounding areas should not be alarmed if they see or hear increased activity.

The U.S. Coast Guard will conduct live fire exercises Aug. 19 in Warning Area 517 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Marine vessels are advised to remain clear of Warning Area 517 for the duration of the event and to monitor the U.S. Coast Guard broadcast Notice to Mariners for advisories.

These trainings support readiness and are critical to developing the skills needed to respond to operational missions throughout the region to ensure a stable, free, and open Indo-Pacific.
