NAVAL AIR STATION PATUXENT RIVER, Md. – Residents of The Woods community of West Virginia are advised that up to six nighttime flights are scheduled to take place in their vicinity from May 11-19, 2017.
In an effort to lessen the disturbance of these missions, the pilots have been instructed to fly the lowest altitude portion of their flights prior to midnight, when possible.
These missions are crucial to our national security.
Residents are reminded that multiple factors can shift the scheduling and execution of these flights, which are always conducted in accordance with Federal Aviation Administration and Navy regulations.
