CSCS(SW/AW) Alexander C. Vazquez

Senior Enlisted Leader

Senior Chief Vazquez was born in Killeen, Texas to Jose and Daria Vazquez. His father enlisted in the Navy after leaving the Army and moved to Oxnard, California where he then grew up. He enlisted in the Navy in March 1996.

Vazquez completed basic training at Recruit Training Command, Great Lakes, Ill. and completed CS “A” School at NTC San Diego. Following school, he reported to USS Enterprise (CVN 65). While on board he advanced to Petty Officer Third Class.

After his tour on Enterprise he reported to Assault Craft Unit 5 in Camp Pendleton, Calif. While there he advanced to Petty Officer Second Class. Following ACU-5, he reported to USS Ronald Reagan (CVN-76). After completion of his second sea tour he reported to Naval Special Warfare Basic Training Command in Coronado, Calif. where he advanced to Petty Officer First Class. After his second Shore duty he reported to USS Carl Vinson (CVN-71). While on board he was selected to the rank of Chief Petty Officer and transferred to USS Cape St George (CG-71). He reported to Naval Support Activity Bethesda in April 2017 where he was advanced to the rank of Senior Chief Petty Officer.

Senior Chief Vazquez has been awarded six Navy Achievement Medals, two Navy Commendation Medals, and numerous service and campaign awards.
