Water Quality manangement is an important part of the Environmental Programs Office mission.
The office oversees stormwater management across the installation to help protect the environment, including the Potomac River watershed. Multiple mechanisms help slow down runoff, and naturally filter out some pollutants to prevent them from reaching the Chesapeake Bay.
The video above describes one of these mechanisms situated outside the USO Warrior and Family Center.
